Vennard Wright is the President of Wave Welcome. The company is a one-step technology provider for small to medium-sized businesses and partners with organizations to deliver digital transformation, IT modernization, and cyber risk compliance. Additionally, offering strategic planning services for realizing increased efficiency through the practical application of data analytics, technology, automation, process improvement, and people-centric solutions. These transformational strategies and solutions are based on successful engagements in multiple industry sectors and are designed to help organizations streamline, evolve, thrive, and achieve their enterprise-level goals and objectives.
Wright partners with organizations to provide leadership and strategic direction for key corporate initiatives. In this capacity, he is responsible for delivering recommendations and implementing strategies for technology, business development, client services, and operations by ensuring that service delivery is in full alignment with both short and long-term goals and objectives.
His professional IT experience is comprised of multiple senior leadership roles. These include serving as CIO/VP of Operations for Iron Bow Technologies, CIO for the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC Water), CIO for Prince George's County Government (MD), and Director of Technology for Hillary Clinton's United States Senate re-election campaign and subsequent 2008 Presidential Campaign. In addition, he served as Director of Technology during Rushern L. Baker III's successful run for County Executive of Prince George's County, MD, in 2010. He was also Chief Technology Officer and Technical Organization Delivery Manager for Electronic Data Systems.
Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation and the Maryland Black Chamber of Commerce celebrate National Black Business Month throughout August, highlighting business owners in the county.
