Assistive Technology Grant Program for 2022
Life happens, and the longer we live the more chances there are for us to experience a life altering event that can leave us with a disability. When that happens, we don’t necessarily have to lose our independence. Adaptive equipment can also be installed in our vehicles to allow us to continue driving and keeping up with our lives and activities. Adaptive braking and steering controls can be added to a vehicle that lets someone with a physical disability drive their own car. Ramps, lifts and safety strap systems can be added so that someone in a wheelchair can access their vehicle as a passenger or driver without having to get out of their wheelchair.
Our ILATS Grant Program is designed to assist individuals with significant disabilities who have a financial need to obtain assistive technology in order to remain independent within the community. We are accepting applications for future grant considerations.
