The MTC CRC and MTC BRC present a Healthcare Technology Forum that will include a tour of Johns Hopkins Simulation Labs, hands-on medical device experience, and a panel discussion on healthcare technology innovation and investment. Ivan George, Assistant Administrative Director, Johns Hopkins University Department of Surgery and Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine will be our host and moderator. Panelists will include a medical doctor, who will explain healthcare technology innovation, and a representative from Johns Hopkins Ventures.
Host and Moderator: Ivan M. George – Assistant Administrative Director, Johns Hopkins University Department of Surgery and Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine
Ivan George, Assistant Administrative Director, serves at Johns Hopkins University (managing the MISTICenter) in the Department of Surgery and provides operational guidance for the Department of Anesthesiology. His 25-year tenure as a perioperative director includes overseeing anesthesia support, periop support, including Central Sterile, robotics, and patient care in major U.S. facilities. A leader in clinical simulation and surgical technology, he's authored over 250 medical publications and presentations. George has directed innovative surgical projects, received patents in surgical and automotive safety, and chaired significant committees internationally. His 33-year career encompasses leading clinical support, innovation, and education (in simulation and clinical fields).
