This one-day course provides an introduction to the growing field of cell therapy. Participants begin with a core lecture defining cell therapies, followed by a hands-on practical session in cell culture techniques. After lunch, the focus shifts to a specific application with a lecture on the principles of CAR-T therapy, finishing with a practical session focused on the main manufacturing methods for creating CAR-T cells. The day blends theory with hands on experience, offering a concise yet comprehensive overview of the industry which has a strong presence in Maryland.
This foundational training is aimed at building core competency for research associates, process development scientists, and manufacturing technicians beginning or transitioning into roles in immunotherapy, clinical cell processing, or CGT (Cell & Gene Therapy) production.
