Please join us on Wednesday, March 9th for an insightful and wide-ranging discussion about capital market trends within the biotech and life sciences spaces. This session will feature guest speaker Bret Schreiber, Vice President, Life Sciences and Technology at Fulton Bank.

As we begin to transition to a new phase of the pandemic and the Fed begins to taper asset purchases and warn of interest rate hikes yet to come–and in light of current events–economic disturbances that began with COVID-19 remain persistent. Join us for a talk between Bret Schreiber, VP of Life Sciences of Fulton Bank, and Maryland Tech Council CEO Marty Rosendale to discuss capital markets. Attendees can expect topics of discussion to include access to capital, deal trends, investment trends, and future economic outlook in the context of the dynamic conditions we are experiencing today. The event will feature a 20-minute Q&A session following Mr. Schreiber's discussion.

Bret Schreiber

Bret Schreiber has worked for 20 years in the field of government and community relations, driving policy and economic development initiatives and developing strong ties to legislators and policy leaders. Currently, Mr. Schreiber is Vice President for Life Sciences and Technology for Fulton Bank, a $22 billion financial institution based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Mr. Schreiber will be overseeing the development of a new division for Fulton Bank, creating disruptive, innovative initiatives to support and grow the life science and technology industries in Fulton’s five state footprint. He previously led the Office of BioHealth and Life Sciences for the Maryland Department of Commerce, as well as the Education and Innovation Division, after spending a decade working with­–and advocating for–higher education institutions in Maryland. Mr. Schreiber holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Johns Hopkins University and studied at Loyola University Maryland.
