BioMarker Strategies is a tissue-based cancer diagnostics company developing the SnapPath� biomarker testing system, which incorporates an automated, live tumor cell processing device with functional, ex vivo biomarker tests to improve drug development and inform clinical decision making for targeted cancer therapeutics. SnapPath� is being developed to stimulate a patients live tumor cells after biopsy to obtain a functional profile (PathMap� Profiles) of the signal transduction network that is not possible using current tumor processing methods and static biomarkers from dead, fixed tissue. SnapPath� will enable personalized medicine for cancer patients with breast, lung, pancreatic, melanoma, colon and other solid-tumors.
