Based in either Washington DC or San Francisco. We are a hybrid working organization, with 2 in person days and 3 days WFH.

New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is New Zealand’s international business development agency. We work with some of New Zealand’s most forward-thinking companies, helping them to grow internationally, bigger, better, faster for the good of New Zealand.
What you’ll be doing:
We need your commercial smarts and know-how to manage a portfolio of health sector companies (med device, health IT and pharma). This exciting role includes working with entrepreneurial New Zealand companies to develop and execute their ambitious growth plans in the US. You will play a key role in supporting their GTM approach, identifying any potential challenges and providing wrap around support to ensure they’re set up for success.
Please note that internally this position is referred to as Business Development Manager
What you’ll need to be successful:
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of the US healthcare industry’s purchasing and procurement structure and processes; hands on business development or advisory experience; and strong knowledge of the key challenges and opportunities for foreign companies wanting to do business in the US. You will be confident in building and leveraging business networks and be able to think strategically and execute tactically. A willingness to “roll your sleeves up” will be a crucial factor in being able to get alongside our companies and contribute to their success. You will have superior communication, business consulting and relationship management skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
