Role Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive scientist to join the Translational Medicine team in our laboratory in Gaithersburg, Maryland.  You will be motivated and highly organized with knowledge of cell/molecular biology and immunology.  The candidate will work in a small team to perform hands-on analysis of clinical samples from multiple phase I/II clinical trials and subsequent data analysis and presentation.  This position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly talented scientist to contribute to a growing pipeline of assets in an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting edge cellular therapies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on analysis of clinical samples by flow cytometry, PCR, and multiplex cytokine analysis
  • Perform routine laboratory and equipment maintenance
  • Follow appropriate regulatory standards for the receipt, processing, and storage of clinical samples as well as reporting of data
  • Maintain accurate and clearly written laboratory notebooks to meet standards in regulatory and patent filings
  • The post-holder will be responsible for adhering to all local government and company health and safety guidance
  • This position requires occasional availability on evenings, Saturdays, or holidays

  • MSc/BSc degree or equivalent in Molecular Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Immunology or related discipline (E)


  • 2-4 Years of experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology laboratory setting, or as a Biomedical Scientist/Medical Technologist in a clinical setting (D)
  • Knowledge of flow cytometry (E), PCR, and Cytokine analysis (D)
  • Experience working in a regulated environment e.g. to GCP (D)
  • Excellent analytical and data management skills; experience with Microsoft Excel, Sharepoint (E), and flow cytometry data analysis software (D)

Skills/Specialist knowledge
