Project Manager
What You'll Be Doing
As a Project Manager on our team, you will be defining the scope of projects, creating detailed work plans, and assisting our clients in bringing their ideas to life.
Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Define the scope of your projects in collaboration with senior management
- Create a detailed work plan for each project which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources (competitive quotes from vendors, labor time estimates, cost of materials, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
- Develop or assist in the development of a quote for engineering services or production services
- Develop a timeline for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Manage or help to manage project loading so all projects happing simultaneously are completed on time with the appropriate resource
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Develop forms and records to document and manage project activities
- Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization and customers on the progress of the project
- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
Who You Are
- Someone who has at least 2 years of Project Manager experience
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferred)
- You have attention to detail and thrive on knowledge
- You are able to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public in a professional courtesy manner
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited information exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and schedule form
- You have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; design software; CAD; order processing systems, and project management software
- Have a basic understanding of accounting and strong attention to detail as it pertains to project budget
