Join us in this role where you’ll have a leading position in the development of our offshore wind projects on the East Coast of the United States. You’ll be involved in managing the implementation of projects, from environmental and regulatory review to authorization, leading a range of environmental, permitting, and scientific topics to support development and construction.

Welcome to NA Permitting
You’ll be part of NA Permitting where you’ll manage a small team of environmental specialists dedicated to the project, as well as seek input from our strategic environmental specialists and your colleagues in the permitting team across our portfolio. You’ll work in a diverse and international team with colleagues in the United States and Europe, specialist consultants, and in consultation with regulatory authorities and stakeholders.

You’ll play an important role in:

• preparing applications to agencies and regulatory entities
• managing schedules and budgets
• working with the project’s technical team to ensure timely delivery of necessary information and documentation for regulatory authorities, in relation to the planned offshore wind farm construction
• managing and representing the project and business in meetings with relevant stakeholders, local, state, and federal authorities, and government agencies, in relation to various environmental topics
• reporting to the senior project management on progress, budget, and key risks for the permitting process, as well as preparing project gate documentation
• managing the project permitting team and the external consultants undertaking surveys and studies to support the permitting processes.

To succeed in the role, you:

• have experience with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
• have, as a minimum, a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field, e.g. environmental policy, marine biology, marine affairs, law, or other related disciplines
• have in-depth knowledge of US regulations and policies, as well as existing relationships with decision-makers, policymakers, and state or federal authorities in the Mid-Atlantic region
• have excellent knowledge of the environmental legislation and the permitting process in relation to the US market and strong stakeholder management abilities
• are a trustworthy and impactful communicator with the ability to maintain detailed dialogue, internally and externally, as well as the ability to proactively manage risks and adapt in a changing environment
• have strong project management skills, including leading small teams, and are a team player focused on finding constructive solutions to all kinds of challenges.
