Endpoint Administrator (SCCM/MECM)

Cloudforce is seeking an ambitious technical professional to join our team as an Endpoint Administrator. This position supports the deployment, migration, and management of key customers’ SCCM infrastructure(s), as well as the administration of other endpoint management solutions in the Microsoft cloud such as Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) and will act as an integral member of our technical team. We are looking for someone experienced in SCCM Administration/Engineering, who wants to grow along with changing technology.


Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration, coordination, and operation of client SCCM infrastructure systems, supporting patch management, OS and application packaging and deployment, configuration management, and hybrid Intune/MEM integration. The Endpoint Administrator position will involve working in an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) environment with a team of internal technical resources and external client stakeholders. The position requires availability to work during client maintenance windows, which may include evenings and weekends.


The Endpoint Administrator will also be responsible for the ongoing operational support of the patch management process, as well as the software and operating system deployment processes. Client environments consist primarily of Microsoft Windows workstations and servers, both on-premises and in the cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for O/S patching, inventory, software distribution and reporting, while ensuring quality and performance of the underlying infrastructure. This position will also support project teams in the deployment of new SCCM infrastructure, as well and the migration of existing SCCM deployments to Azure.


You Have:

  • Experience in supporting, troubleshooting, and administering the SCCM toolset and infrastructure
  • Advanced SCCM skill set and ability to use and administer the toolset without assistance and/or additional training
  • Experience managing server and workstation health, including the process of remedying health status
  • Skills in identifying and interpreting SCCM log files to troubleshoot and determine the root cause of deployment failures
  • Experience leveraging SCCM to meet client compliance requirements
  • Experience administering SCCM software deployments, including various methods such as machine targeted, user targeted and filtering device collections, using AD groups
  • Candidate should have strong focus on UAT. That is, ensuring all deployments are fully vetted, tested and meet customer requirements prior to production release


One year or more experience:

  • Working as a SCCM Engineer/Administrator (current branch)
  • Creating, managing, and administering SCCM software deployments
  • Creating, managing, and administering SCCM Windows Update Management
  • Creating, managing, and administering OSD (task sequences)


You Might Also Have:

  • Experience with Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Autopilot, or Always On VPN
  • Experience with SCCM back-end administration, including making changes to the core system components and settings, backups, restores, software delivery, client health, reporting & boundaries
  • Experience with scripting used in SCCM including:
  • Creating WQL Queries
  • Customizing SCCM reports per client needs (SSRS)
  • Creating custom scripts to audit software and hardware inventory
  • Customizing XML files for software deployments
  • Understanding and experience in working in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant environment
