Job Description:
We are hiring a Director of Sales to join our team to drive new customer acquisition, revenue, and margin growth to meet company growth projections. It’s a full-time position, for the Maryland/Remote location. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, problem solver, intrinsically motivated, have high self-esteem, high drive, empathy to customers, ability to connect with others, proactive, team builder, motivator, and strong commitment to results.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business management or related discipline. MBA preferred
You will:
- Prospect (Hunting): Use personal and professional network, company contact lists and CRM, and other sources to identify prospective customers
- Qualify: Collect and thoroughly understand prospects requirements, budget constraints, key stakeholders, decision-making process, and other factors required to fully qualify the sales opportunity and establish deal closure probability along with forecasted close date
- Pitch: Perform sales presentations/demos to match company products and solutions to identified customer needs
- Develop Account (Farming): Build relationships with existing customers to understand and identify their objectives and needs and align to company products and services where opportunities exist
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet or exceed assigned quarterly & annual sales objectives and quotas and build new revenue streams through growth of the business relationships with new customers and expansion of existing customer relationships
- Own end to end of entire Sales Cycle: Owns the prospecting, needs analysis, qualifying, proposal development, contract negotiation, closing and post-sales relationship
- Manage Pipeline: Leverage company’s CRM to document, monitor, analyze and manage pipeline and sales activity against assigned quarterly targets
- Plan Sales: Develop and execute strategic revenue growth plan for the company
- Support Marketing: Provide input to marketing programs and support in-person and virtual marketing events (conferences) as a company representative.
- Manage SDRs: Responsible for building and managing a team of SDRs to build effective and target prospecting campaigns
- Report to CEO
You have:
- 10+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with demonstrated ability to consistently exceed sales quota
- Established book of contacts and proven track record closing sales to HR/benefits/wellness professionals
- Demonstrated hunter, but with experience building relationships and commercial footprint with existing accounts (“farming”)
- Proven experience building a sales pipeline and closing opportunities
- Must be comfortable working at all levels of an organization from Department Managers to C- Suite
- Independent thinker with good judgment skills and proven track record in problem solving
- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation skills, business writing skills and oral communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of CRM systems - HubSpot preferred
- Experience with prospect databases such as LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, DiscoverOrg, Salesintel.io etc.
