SUMMARY: The Director, Fintech Partnerships is responsible for working with a wide range of organization stakeholders to identify needs, research vendors and assist with defining an information technology project roadmap. The position supports the entire organization in developing and continuously updating a documented technology project roadmap that details initiatives planned to achieve overall corporate goals and to improve efficiencies.

The role will use relationships with Fintech vendors to identify potential solution providers to address these business needs. This person must stay abreast of banking trends as well as technology innovation and trends and make recommendations based on best practices. The position will also maximize CFG's partnership with Fintech companies to address business needs and capitalize on both deposit and investment opportunities. In addition, this team member will identify fintech opportunities that would be beneficial to CFG clients and develops and executes a plan for communicating these opportunities and making the connections for the clients.

 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Manage technology business needs assessments, vendor identification, and project approval process.
  • Actively engage organization stakeholders to gather information and feedback.
  • Work with departments to assess vendor strategic fit and resource availability and needs.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify business technology needs, pain points in workflows and opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Lead, guide and champion process improvement. Drive product improvement and efficiency in collaboration with all departments and develop strategies to provide best in class banking experience for CFG Bank customers.
  • Advise and provide thought leadership to management team on these improvements. Provide leadership team with recommendations to determine optimal processes, team priorities, and team effectiveness.
  • Identify key findings and insights from data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, competitive and market analysis, and company goals to drive prioritization of product initiatives. Understand, manage, and communicate prioritization of features, with a mind toward user, business and customer benefits and tradeoffs.
  • Drives alignment on key milestones between teams to get projects to hand off to the Project Management and Department Head for implementation.
  • Develop and maximize relationships with technology vendors, Fintechs, and organizations supporting these efforts (such as Alloy and Fifth Wall) to assist the organization in achieving goals.
  • Capitalize on vendor and Fintech relationships to drive success as well as identify opportunities for deposit and investment partnerships.
  • Identify fintech opportunities for CFG clients and communicate them to the clients.


QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years experience in a technology planning role
  • Strong work ethic with ability to deliver individual results within a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate, influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and efficiently manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite
  • Travel required

• DEDICATED TO ACHIEVING THE OBJECTIVES AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS OUTLINED IN THE BANK'S BSA, CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM AND ECONOMIC SANCTION PROGRAM POLICES.

THE MANDATORY TRAINING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE BANK'S BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT AND ECONOMIC SANCTIONS PROGRAM WILL BE PROVIDED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF ACCEPTING THIS POSITION.
