WTCI Webinar Series - Leaders on the Front Line of a Global Pandemic

This session  will address Maryland’s response to the COVID pandemic featuring Novavax, a vaccine company in Gaithersburg, MD which has received a 1.6b grant from the US government to develop its COVID19 vaccine.  Throughout its history, Novavax has been enhancing global health by developing vaccines against diseases such as influenza, RSV, Ebola, MERS, SARS, and COVID-19.  At this webinar learn how companies such as Novavax and its partners, Maryland Tech Council and The Biotechnology Innovation Organization, are working together to expedite vaccine development, and how they are overcoming the business and scientific challenges that they encounter.  The panel will also discuss the economic growth that has resulted in the Maryland biotechnology sector.
